Travel Attractions of the Week: Vienna, Austria

Every week I am going to feature different tourist attractions, nice scenery and views from different countries which was visited by my family and friends. Since I am just a virtual traveler this time, I asked permission from them to post their travel photos here in my travel blog. All their photos are credited from them and I’d like to thank them for being so kind and so supportive to me.

For this week I am featuring the beautiful city of Vienna, Austria which was visited by my friend who works as a cabin crew of Emirates airlines. She was so blessed in having this kind of job because she has the chance to travel around the world and visit many beautiful countries and nice places just like Vienna. This city is conveniently located on the rail lines between Venice, Budapest, and Prague, the crossroads between Eastern and Western Europe.

Vienna stands at the heart of Europe, smack on the intersection between the East and West. It also makes for a great home base for exploring Central Europe like Germany, The Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovania, Italy and Switzerland.

If  you like history, classical musical heritage, architecture and grand palaces are among your interests, then you must visit Vienna. If music and the outdoors is your interest check out the Summer Music Festivals in Austria, which are spectacular. Perhaps a River Cruise on the Danube River is on your itinerary.

Vienna is a huge city with lots of sightseeing, restaurant, nightlife and accommodation.  As you tour around this city, you’ll soon discover that there’s so much more attractions that Austria has to offer.

Tuesday Travels: The Zurich Street Parade

I don’t want to miss Tuesday Travels so here’s my entry for this week for our month theme Octoberfest where we feature festivals that we would love to go to.

One of the festivals that I would to love to see is the Zurich Street Parade in Zurich, Switzerland. My mom who is recently working and residing in Zurich never misses any of this event.

I really enjoyed looking at their sexy looking outfit and costumes. The Zurich Street Parade is an awesome European trance and techno festival which usually takes place every second weekend in August in the city of Zurich in Switzerland.

Tourists from all over the world come to experience this colorful event as it is regarded as one of the safe mass events in Zurich. The Street Parade is as of 2001 one of the largest techno parties in the world and the largest annual event in Zurich where a parade of  floats on the back of an 18-wheeler semi trucks, each carrying a DJ and a dance party on its bed, crawls through the million people along the parade route and people will get dressed up in crazy outfits and everyone dances with each float as it passes by.

Nice Switzerland Views

I recently saw some of my mom’s lovely and beautiful photos of Switzerland. I am so fascinated and was so amazed on its wonderful views. Here are some of my mom’s captured photos that I would like to share with you.

Switzerland is such  a wonderful place in Europe which is lovingly known as ‘heaven in world’. It is the most ideal place for visitors who want to enjoy a memorable vacation along with the outstanding natural wonders.

Though this is a small country but is one of the richest countries in the world. The rich heritage, unique culture and lingual diversity marks this country as one of the world most charming and unique country. Truly speaking there is no substitute to Switzerland in the entire world neither its beauty nor its charm can be compared with any other place in the earth.

Tuesday Travels: Our Favorite Beach

This week’s theme for Tuesday Travels is all about our favorite beach destination so here’s my entry for this week. I am featuring our very own local beach in Opol, Misamis Oriental.

Everytime my mom spends her holiday here with us every year, she usually rent an apartment near the beach in Balan Compound, Opol. She loves swimming at the beach every morning. I only swim in the morning or late afternoon because I don’t want to get dark LOL!

Opol is a nearby municipality of Misamis Oriental and from city proper of Cagayan de Oro, it is 30-45 minutes away.

Our Fun & Adventure Experience at Cabula’s New Pool

I just celebrated my 28th birthday last Friday together with my family and friends. We went to this newly built swimming pool located at Sitio Cabula, Barangay Lumbia, here in our city of Cagayan de Oro.

I’m glad we are the only group of family who arrive there so we feel like we exclusively own that place. hehehe…

When you arrived in that place, the first thing you will see is the Cabula River Grille restaurant on the center, the famous river for white water rafting on the left and the new swimming pool on the right.

Aside from this cool slide, one of the things that makes this swimming pool fun and adventurous is their zipline across the pool.

Too bad I don’t have a photo shots like these because aside from the fact that I’m scared and I am also worried about my bulging tummy, my hubby did not swim too so it was my in-laws who did enjoyed the fun.

Aside from zipline, the zorbing experience is a must-try.

I wasn’t able to try zorbing because the ball doesn’t have enough air so we ended up taking some pose and shots from this zorb ball.

The booming whitewater rafting market in Cagayan de Oro compelled local investors to fully expand the end-point facilities with the construction of this newly built pool and sooner, it won’t be too long that countryside inn and lodging accommodations will follow.
